Mindy served for over 31 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a Human Resources Administrator, (formally Administrative Clerk); She was posted to Moose Jaw, Petawawa, Italy, Toronto, finishing her career in Ottawa; she also completed deployments to Bosnia and Afghanistan.  Mindy received the Order of Military Merit in 2012, and retired from the CAF in 2021, as a Chief Warrant Officer.

Not knowing what she wanted to do when she grew up, Mindy joined the Public Service as a Policy Advisor with Department of National Defence. With plans to retire in 2023, she looks forward to spending more time with her spouse, Dwayne, and spoiling their grandson.
