Chelsea has dedicated her career to working for not-for-profit healthcare organizations. She has over seven years of experience working in healthcare administration in the areas of strategic relations, project management, education, and marketing and promotion in the acute care and long-term care sectors.
Much of her career has been spent working with elderly living with dementia. One of her most notable achievements is launching a government initiative to deliver quality care in Ontario long-term care homes. In 2018, she completed her Master of Business Administration. She has also volunteered her time to various healthcare support organizations and has lived experience providing palliative care to family members.
Her personal and professional experiences have given her an in-depth understanding of, and passion for, person-centered care. With her strong background in patient advocacy, Chelsea is honoured to be making a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families at the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans.
