A Journey Through Chronic Pain and Resilience

After joining the Canadian Forces in 1977, this Veteran served nearly 34 years before retiring in 2010. Throughout Ray’s career, back pain was a recurring challenge, but it wasn’t until 2015 that chronic pain became unbearable. A back surgery in the same year led to complications, including a drop foot and osteoarthritis in multiple joints. Despite these setbacks, Ray maintains an active lifestyle through daily exercises and rehabilitation. Their message to fellow veterans: “Keep moving.” They advocate for more research into medical marijuana's role in pain management.
