This Remembrance Day, the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans joins Canadians in reflecting on the immense sacrifices of our nation’s heroes. We remember those who bravely served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, as well as those who returned home forever changed.
We also honour the ongoing courage of Veterans and their families, many of whom endure the challenges of chronic pain—a lasting, unseen wound of service. Your resilience, strength, and sacrifices are deeply respected and appreciated. We recognize that the journey does not end upon returning home and that the weight of service can carry into daily life in ways others may not see.
To our Canadian Armed Forces members, past and present, and to the families who support them, we stand with you in gratitude, remembrance, and unwavering commitment to supporting your health and well-being. This Remembrance Day, we renew our dedication to serving you and ensuring that no Veteran faces the battle with chronic pain alone. We aim to keep hope alive for Veterans and their families suffering from chronic pain through research.
With respect, remembrance, and deep gratitude,
Dr. Ramesh Zacharias,
President, CEO and Medical Director
